Chalong Temple, located eight kilometers from the resort, is dominated by the Grand Pagoda in which wall paintings depict the life of Buddha. The temple also houses a variety of gilt statuary, porcelain and Thai furnishings. The colorful temple is designed in a traditional Thai style with a layered red steeply pitched roof.
