Puerto Plata is a city in the Dominican Republic with a population of about 130,000 residents and is the capital of the province of Puerto Plata. Famous for many things including golden sandy beaches, it is a very popular holiday destination because of the hospitality of the Dominican people, local shops and lush beaches. Getting here by plane; you will enter the Gregorio Luperón International Airport; flights are frequent from most North American cities. There are many other things to see and do apart from lazing around on sun lounges all day such as Water sports and excursions.
